American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI) is a philanthropic charity
organization founded by American Muslims of Indian Origin in the year 1989.
AFMI strives to improve the socio-economic status of the underprivileged Indian Muslim minorities through education.

AFMI PROGRAMS

AFMI's education programs include

- Building, rehabilitation and funding the operation of schools

- Scholarships to deserving and needy students

- Recognition of top performers in each state via AFMI gold, silver & bronze medals

AFMI's outreach medal program touches millions of students in India. The medal program provides motivation for students to excel in education while fostering healthy competition.

The American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI) has come a long way since its inception in 1989. As a grass roots based organization we have been working towards our goal of attaining 100% literacy and the elimination of poverty in the Indian Muslim community.
